All About Us

We're the Rumsley Family of 3 humans, 10 chickens, 4 ducks, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 1 rabbit and a cat. Ever feel like you were not meant to live in the city? Well that is exactly how we felt. So in 2017 we bought our home on just over 2 acres (our little piece of heaven) here in Michigan to live the "simple life" and from then we have fallen in love with our land and surroundings. Whether we are going out to feed the animals or looking up at all the stars in the night sky, these are just a few things we love doing and just couldn't do in the city. We love growing our own fruits & vegetables, collecting fresh eggs, canning preserves, making homemade soap & dog treats and most importantly spending time with the family here on our homestead. With this page we would like to share our stories and experiences. As well as hear all of yours.
